Engaging New Book on Cuba

By Oscar Ramirez

Hello,

Please allow me to introduce myself: My name is OSCAR M. RAM?EZ-ORBEA and I'm happy to announce that Airleaf Publishing (www.airleaf.com) has recently released my new book of short stories, CUBA, I REMEMBER YOU/CUBA, TE RECUERDO.

Brief Synopsis:
A collection of 14 short stories, in both English and Spanish, based on the author's experiences of childhood before and after the Communist revolution. Lots of nostalgia for those who knew Cuba in the 50's and 60's and plenty of humor for readers in general. Includes also many period family photographs that illustrate the stories and bring them vividly to life!
+It also includes an Appendix for educators wishing to use the book in Spanish or English foreign language classes.

As long as you have a speaker phone on your end, we can schedule a time to discuss the book and I can answer any questions that you might have (to schedule this, email me at cubairememberyou@comcast.net). I sincerely hope to meet you and your fellow readers!

Early Reviews:
Reviewed by: John L. Hoh, Jr. Bookideas.com : As the title suggests, this book is bi-lingual. It is also written by a professor who actually was born and raised in Cuba and fled Cuba was a boy with his family. The reason for this exodus from Cuba was the Castro "revolution" and its effects on a middle income family that owned its own business. When Castro took over he nationalized all businesses. Thus Ram?ez-Orbea's family lost the businesses they had built from the ground up.......

Review by Betty Corbin Tucker of IP BookReviews : As I began reading Cuba, I Remember You by Oscar M. Ramirez-Orbea, I was intrigued by the unusual layout of the pages. The collection of short stories is presented in both English and Spanish in a way that is easily read and followed. Although I have never been to Cuba?nd probably never will go there?he author took me there with his descriptive words of the island, houses where he lived, introduction of family members, vivid images of childhood friends, and other memories of his life before and after the revolution......
